Christmas thanks to the marshals

Monday, December 23 2019

The Christmas period is in many ways a time for reflection, and at the end of every season one of the most important things to look back on is the contribution made across the MSV circuits by our superb marshals. The 'orange army' is a quite extraordinary workforce of passionate volunteers who devote their weekends to ensuring that motor racing can take place, with optimum safety, for both drivers and riders alike.

From the grassroots club-level events right up to major international meetings like the FIM Superbike World Championship and the DTM, no race event could take place without their passion, expertise and dedication.

MSV would like to extend its enormous gratitude to the marshals across all of its venues this Christmas, and indeed ALL the volunteer officials who give up their time to keep everything running like clockwork. Your efforts do not go unnoticed.

If you are interested in becoming a key part of the action, the British Motorsport Marshals Club (BMMC) have produced a very helpful guide explaining the training process and what to expect as a marshal starting out - you can find it via their website here. For more general information or to register please visit www.marshals.co.uk or contact the BMMC by emailing nat.recruiting@marshals.co.uk.

If you marshal at race meetings with MotorSport Vision Racing, a number of benefits are available, the full details of which are available here.
