Comedy line-up confirmed for Convoy in the Park

Monday, July 15 2019

A top line-up of comedians will provide plenty of laughs on the evening of Saturday 10 August at Donington Park, as the big top circus tent becomes an intimate comedy venue for 600 people at Convoy in the Park!

MC Pam Ford, Colin Cole, Julian Deane and guests will ensure that the thousands of race fans expected throughout the day at the UK's biggest celebration of all things trucking will laugh long into the night.

Pam Ford, a 'towering six foot Aussie diva' is a regular at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, a former pub landlady who outgrew her small Kent pub stage and now tours the UK and Europe with her unique and hilarious observations with "more lip than a duck billed platypus!" She'll deliver a wealth of material from her life and experiences, while introducing her colleagues for the evening along the way.

Colin Cole is literally one of the biggest names in comedy in Australia, standing at six feet seven and known for hugely dynamic performances. Big, bold and dominating, this fantastically likeable Australian has audiences loving his performances across the world. Every punchline he delivers is a gem and has the ability to break barriers with his universally funny material. Having toured extensively in the US, Canada and Hawaii, he's now taking the UK by storm, and is described by the New York Times as "one of the most exciting performers to come out of Australia since Skippy!"

Julian Deane has been wowing audiences across the country with his genius punch lines and perfect delivery. He's recently performed on 'Russell Howard's Hour' and supported Paul Chowdhry on the mammoth nationwide tour Live 'Innit'. His performances have earned him recognition from prominent figures in the comedy industry and won some of the most prestigious comedy competitions in the country. He's a writer for 'Mock the Week' and 'Never Mind the Buzzcocks' and delivers "endlessly repeatable lines" according to The Guardian.

The comedy evening, which carries an adult content warning, is just one of the many added attractions to the Convoy in the Park event, which features two days of epic racing from the British Truck Racing Championship, as well as a massive line-up of off-track entertainment areas.

Tickets for Convoy in the Park on 10-11 August are available in advance priced from £20 per day for adults, with discounted entry for teenagers aged 13-15 and free entry for under 13s. For more information or to book, click here.
