MSV events and activities: Frequently Asked Questions (01/10/20)

Most business areas have returned to normal but we appreciate our customers may have questions about how our events and activities will be operating, in line with latest government guidance.

We've listed the most commonly asked questions below:

RACE EVENTS

Q - Are spectators now allowed to attend race meetings?

 A - Yes, we have been welcoming visitors since Saturday 11 July, with a great deal of positive feedback (please note that BSB and BTCC events are being run behind closed doors with no spectators for the rest of the season).

We have introduced a range of safety measures in accordance with COVID-Secure guidelines. The key changes are:

- Attendance numbers will be restricted significantly at all MSV venues to ensure visitors can easily socially distance. Tickets must be purchased in advance to guarantee admission
- Other social distancing measures will be in place, including in grandstands, with clear signage instructions
- There will be no public access to working areas e.g. paddocks, pit lanes and garages
- Enhanced cleaning measures will be in place

Tickets may sell out in advance of certain race meetings due to our reduced capacities, so please keep an eye on our circuits' social media pages for the latest updates.

You can book tickets to MSV race meetings safe in the knowledge that if further government restrictions prevent us being able to admit spectators to a race meeting, you will be entitled to a credit or refund.

17 SEPTEMBER UPDATE

Following the recent change in the law, you will not be able to attend any of our race events in a group of more than six people, unless you all live together or are in the same support bubble. For more information click here

Q - Are you offering camping on race meetings? 

A - Yes, at our major race events where camping is available to purchase online. Please see the individual event pages on our website for further details. We are not permitting overnight stays on club-level meetings until further notice, other than for competitors and their essential helpers.

Q - Do season pass or resident pass holders have to pre-register before attending an event?

A - No - this is not required. Simply present your valid pass on arrival as normal. 2020 pass holders have been factored into our capacity calculations. Please note pass holders are not able to attend any BSB or BTCC events in 2020 as these events are being run behind closed doors.

Q - Can I apply for carers' tickets at race meetings?

A - For carers' ticket requests please email carer@msv.com as per usual guidelines but please be prepared to wait a little longer than normal for a response.

Q - I booked tickets for an event that's been cancelled or postponed but have had no contact from MSV. What is happening?

A - We have emailed all ticketholders whose race meetings have been cancelled or postponed due to COVID-19 a link to manage their booking(s) online. If you haven't received an email please check any Junk folders initially before contacting us at activities@msv.com.

Any refunds requested will be carried out within two weeks of receipt - it may take an additional seven working days for funds to appear in your account. Please note that refunds will be made against the card originally used for payment. If your payment card has since been replaced don't worry - it will remain linked to your account and the refund will still go through.

We contacted all 2020 season pass holders on Monday 10 August with details on how we intend to manage their loss of entitlement.

Q - I've booked tickets and selected the postal option - when will I receive my tickets?

A - Please be assured that all tickets will be dispatched in good time before each event. Do not contact us unless the event is fewer than three days away and you still have not rceived your order.

Q - Are you still offering Hospitality and Trackside Lounge Upgrades?

A - We will be reducing capacities in our suites and adjusting our table layouts amongst a range of changes to comply with latest guidance. We are completely confident that we will deliver a great experience but will contact any existing customers to explain these changes in more detail.

Q - Are spectators required to wear a face covering at an MSV race event?

A - As a result of the recent change in the law, you will be expected to wear a face covering when you enter any enclosed area at our venues, such as our shops or when you purchase takeaway food and drink from one of our indoor restaurants.

TRACKDAYS AND CAR TESTING

Q - Are you running trackdays and testing as normal?

A - We are operating trackdays and car test days at all of our circuits, with measures in place to keep participants safe. Click here to download a summary of these changes. A list of upcoming dates can be found via the top menu on this website.

Q - Am I allowed to spectate on trackdays or test days?

A - Until further notice spectators, friends and family members are not allowed to attend these events - only participants and their essential helpers. This is necessary to limit the number of people in and around the paddock.

Q - Can I stay overnight on test and trackdays?

A - Overnight camping will be permitted at all venues (except Donington Park and Bedford Autodrome) the night before a trackday or the night between two consecutive trackdays. Camping will only be permitted for participants and their essential helpers. Toilet facilities (only) will be available overnight - no showers.

DRIVING EXPERIENCES

Q - When are you restarting driving experiences? (F4 Master, Rally Master, YoungDrive! etc.)

A - These events resumed from late August. We have contacted all customers with open vouchers. Any vouchers that are due to expire will automatically be extended valid until the end of November 2020. For details click here
