Bennetts BSB hotshot Bradley Ray confirmed for Donington wildcard

Friday, May 18 2018

Bennetts British Superbike rising star Bradley Ray has been confirmed as a wildcard rider for the UK round of the Motul FIM Superbike World Championship at Donington Park next weekend (25-27 May).

The 21-year-old won both BSB races at the East Midlands circuit in April, and lies second in the standings after the first six races. He will make his World Superbike debut next weekend, and is looking forward to the challenge: "I'm flying out to Japan on Saturday morning, and then flying back on Wednesday ready for the Donington World Superbike wildcard next weekend. I haven't got much time off but it's really exciting and it's good experience for myself."

Ray will race his Buildbase Suzuki and joins several other wildcards for the UK round, including local man Leon Haslam, while fellow BSB contenders Gino Rea and Mason Law will also compete at Donington Park on their OMG Racing Suzuki and Team WD40 Kawasaki respectively.

The additions of Ray, Haslam, Rea and Law to the grid mean there will be a total of nine British riders to cheer on at Donington next weekend, joining full season contenders Jonathan Rea, Tom Sykes, Chaz Davies, Alex Lowes and Leon Camier.

The UK round of World Superbikes at Donington Park takes place on 25-27 May, with advance tickets still available and offering savings compared to the gate prices. Tickets start from £28 with discounted rates for teenagers aged 13-15 and free entry for children aged 12 and under. Click   here to book or for more information.
