Entertainment galore at Donington WorldSBK!

Tuesday, June 18 2019

There's just over two weeks to go until the only UK round of the Motul FIM Superbike World Championship on 5-7 July, with the promise of a huge amount of entertainment around the venue to keep all visitors entertained.

The highlight will be the Paddock Show, located opposite Garage 39, which will feature regular rider appearances, game shows, chat shows, competitions and even a charity auction.

The Paddock Show will kick off on Friday morning with a Question of WorldSBK quiz show, while immediately after, several World Superbike and World Supersport stars will take part in a pair of chat shows, before a Team Manager chat show.

There will be more of the same on Saturday, before the SuperShow kicks off at 15.30 with rider press conferences, meet-and-greet sessions and then a charity auction to raise money for Two Wheels For Life at 17.15. Lots available for bidding will be revealed during Friday afternoon at the show, with funds raised going to support programmes to aid health care in the poorest and most remote communities in Africa using well-maintained motorcycles.

Straight after will come the always-popular rider concert, where the on-track stars become part of the band and get the party started, with current WorldSBK championship leader Alvaro Bautista among several riders confirmed to make an appearance!

There will be plenty more fun on Sunday too, with free-of-charge access to the Paddock Show for all ticket holders throughout the weekend. Click here to view a full schedule for the Paddock Show.

In addition, the Fan Zone nearby will allow fans to join in with the podium celebrations too, including all three WorldSBK races, where visitors will be close enough to taste the victory champagne! There will also be displays and merchandise outlets in operation here too.

Away from the paddock, there will be a massive range of entertainment on offer around the venue too, including a large Ducati display including a huge array of 916s to celebrate the bike's 25th anniversary, as well as bikes formerly ridden by Carl Fogarty and Troy Bayliss.

A fairground will be operating on Saturday and Sunday, while the spectacular Demon Drome Wall of Death will also be open, with spectacular stunts and high speed action on a vertical raceway! Individual charges will apply to these activities.

For kids, a face painter will be at the event, while wannabe stunt riders will be able to learn to get up on one wheel courtesy of the Extreme Wheelie machine!

Finally, several live bands will perform around the venue on Friday and Saturday evenings; at the lively infield campsite, the Paddock Show and also at the Garage 39 restaurant café and bar.

Tickets for the only UK round of World Superbikes are available in advance priced from £25 for adults, with free entry all weekend for children under-13. For more information and to book, click here.
